William Triplett Davis

A “native son” of Washington, DC, Davis was born and educated in the city before establishing his professional career. Beginning with his education, he studied both at the Corcoran School of Art and under the tutelage of Lucien Powell. His professional activity in Washington, DC lasted from 1898-1929.
Davis was a member of both the Art Club of Washington and the Society of Washington Artists. The Society also was the site of exhibitions of his paintings.
