A "laurel" design cast iron garden chair early twentieth century. These chairs are more difficult to come by than the bench. It is 28" high by 27" wide by 23" deep. It has been sand blasted and dry coated fun black and is in very nice condition.

A single cast iron lyre-back design garden chair in the design by Robert Wood (ca 1840) - this example ca 1920. Unlike some early chairs, these are very comfortable. 33" high by22" die and deep. Early green paint finish - a couple of small welds to fix loose joints. Sturdy and in good condition.

A "pair" of cast iron hitching post/lawn jockeys from the early twentieth century. The design is ca 1860, but these were produced early twentieth century. Originally display pieces for a southern restaurant one retains its original color, the other has had his face color adjusted as a questionable cultural compromise. Each its approximately 38" high by 14" by 12". In good condition, overall condition commensurate with age and cultural adjustments.

An unusual pair of carved stone lions with remnants of original bright polychrome finish from a nineteenth century Jain temple. The lions have wonderfully idiosyncratic expressions and the loss of much of the brightly colored paint (in my humble opinion) softens their appearance and adds to their considerable charm. Approximately 18" high by 22" long by 8" wide. One of the crossed paws is lost; condition commensurate with age and usage as architectural elements.

An Art Nouveau terra cotta rendition of a seated maiden holding a dove signed by Alfred Foretay (1861-1944). A very suitable garden centerpiece this is one of those rare sculptures that sit well viewed from any direction, having wonderful fluidity. 29" high by 14" wide by 12" deep. Other than a few scuff marks from wear in very nice condition.

A set of four early classic Carre garden armchairs with sunburst backs and seats. Frames are wrought iron and sets/backs spring steel. Sizes vary a little but are in the range of 34" high by 23" wide by 25" deep. There are no breaks in the strapping. Painted gloss white and in good condition.

An antique American cast iron "White House" bench. A design originating in Scotland, here in the US it has an historic association with the Rose Garden at the executive mansion. This is the smaller version 35" high by 45" wide by 21.5" deep. It has had some repairs over time and there are some rough edges from the original casting, but all details are intact. It has been rust proofed and painted gloss white.

Known as the "renaissance Scroll" bench (and chair) this ornate Victorian set is uniquely American with a complex mix of renaissance and rococo elements and dates to around 1900. The female figure head is sometimes identified anecdotally as " Betsy Ross" and appears on a number of American garden pieces. Bench is 32" high by 45" wide by 18" deep. The chair, not so often found, is 32" high by 25.5" wide by 17" deep. Rust proofed and re-painted/ in good condition.
