A very nice and rare antique cast iron garden urn in the classic campagne style, American ca 1860-70. Marked twice as "Wood & Perot makers Phila" and "Chase & Co NY". Wood and Perot was one of the earliest makers of cast iron garden items; Chase & Co, oddly enough, is associated usually with Boston. 20.5" high by 17" in diameter with a 9" square base. An excellent casting in fine condition. Old green paint finish.

Retaining much its original paint this exhibits a fine balance between the formal and lyrical elements of its design. The table base is 29" high by 49" wide by 30" deep.
