Antique bird prints in original hand-color from Johann Leonard (1666-1743) Frisch's "Vorstellung der Vogel Deutschlandes..." published in 1733. This is possibly the earliest publication on domestic birds in Europe. Frames are vinegar painted and framing materials are conservation quality. Each is approx.21" x 26" framed; all are in excellent condition except for the goose print, which has a significant repair (e-mail to discuss).

Framed photogravures of palms from Odoardo Beccari's "Asiatic Palms". Beccari (1843-1920) was an Italian Naturalist and the pre-eminent authority on his subject. The photogravures were made in Florence and published by the Botanic Gardens in Calcutta in 1908. The presentation aesthetic is comparable to the (later) images by Blosfeldt. Each piece is approx. 19" x 25"; framed with conservation materials. In excellent condition.

Rare garden table from Philadelphia ca 1870 with early (possibly original) Prussian Blue marble top. Elaborately scrolled foliate end panels are supported by a scrolled cross piece. Each end panel features the American eagle as its centerpiece. The marble top is nicely worn with a dull slate-like finish. Overall size is 38" wide by 26" deep. Base is approx. 30" by 20"...

A rare lyreback garden bench with two side chairs American, ca 1920. The bench is cast iron with the exception of the seat, which is aluminum. Some design elements in the upper back of the bench differ slightly from those of the chairs. All pieces appear to have been manufactured contemporaneously as they all have the same multiple paint layers and the original square nuts. There are no apparent breaks or repairs...

Large antique garden urn in cast iron on pedestal, American late nineteenth century. Urn has elaborate foliate ears featuring lady head motifs; grape cluster motifs on bowl surround; foliate designs on rim, top of bowl and socle. Stands on a paneled base. The lady head motif is found on some American urns and benches. This one I have not seen before. Overall 46" high, 36" wide, bowl diameter 27". Urn height is 25"; pedestal height 21"...

Antique cast iron garden urn with the JL Mott patent mark inscribed on the underside of the bowl rim viz., "patented Feb 8th 1872." Stem of three egrets in decorative foliage on a circular base supporting a bowl with foliate decoration. Early paint finish, very nice casting 41" high with a bowl diameter of 28" and a base diameter of 20." In very good condition.
