Pair of botanical prints from Karl Blosfeldt's "Art in Nature",
Germany 1928, in custom finished "organic" frames. Blosfeldt invented his own unique form of photography to capture these images the likes of which have never been surpassed. Set of four finely colored chromolithographs of mushroom by EM Fries in custom frames ca 1860. Fries was the scientist responsible for the scientific categorisation of fungi and these prints are from his "Edible and Poisonous Fungi of Sweden." They are approx 150 years old, but have a wonderful contemporary feel. They are approx. 16" x 20". All conservation materials used in framing.

Pair of large garden urns from the J L Mott Foundry NY ca 1870 in the Morning Glory pattern. The Smithsonian owns several of a variant on these it has used in the Edith Haupt Garden on the Mall. Bowl sides have highly decorative fluting ending in a protruding bottom faced with morning glory blooms, the decorative stems extending beneath. Each is 34" high, bowl diameter is 29"; base is 15" square. Stripped, rust-proofed and re-painted. In very good condition.

Cast iron tables are rare, with an original iron top, rarer still. Listed in the J L Mott catalogue of 1889, and the Westervelt catalogue as the "double Coalbrook table" (Barbara Israel p. 187), this table base was sold with a choice of tops, the metal top (judging by the number surviving) being unusual. Table is 36" long by 24" wide, 27" high: base is 30" x 18"...

A very unusual and attractive garden urn in cast iron with "Egyptian revival" elements ca 1880. Basin is broad with lip decoration of alternating lotus and acanthus leaves, and is encircled by a garland of grape bunches and leaves. The column is fluted as is the base which has formalised lotus leaves in each corner. Urn is 26" wide, 23" high, 12.5" square at base. Stripped, rust-proofed and repainted; in excellent condition.

Cast iron garden urn on plinth with elaborately scrolled ears and saw-toothed edge basin. Manufacturer's mark states "The Kramer Bros FDY Co Dayton O". In two pieces, ca 1900. 31" high, 31" wide; 21" diameter basin, 16" square at base. Stripped, rust-proofed and re-painted. In excellent condition.
