| Large antique garden urn in cast iron on pedestal, American late nineteenth century. Urn has elaborate foliate ears featuring lady head motifs; grape cluster motifs on bowl surround; foliate designs on rim, top of bowl and socle. Stands on a paneled base. The lady head motif is found on some American urns and benches. This one I have not seen before. Overall 46" high, 36" wide, bowl diameter 27". Urn height is 25"; pedestal height 21". Multiple layers of old paint obscuring some of the finer detail, some rust especially inside bowl, otherwise good condition. Can be stripped and repainted at additional cost. | ||||||||||||
