A rare lyreback garden bench with two side chairs American, ca 1920. The bench is cast iron with the exception of the seat, which is aluminum. Some design elements in the upper back of the bench differ slightly from those of the chairs. All pieces appear to have been manufactured contemporaneously as they all have the same multiple paint layers and the original square nuts. There are no apparent breaks or repairs. Chairs are 32" high, 20.5" wide, 22" deep: bench is 33" high, 42" wide and 16" deep. Some rust beneath the old paint surface, otherwise in fine structural condition. Can be stripped and repainted if desired.
