Rare cast iron lyreback bench and two side chairs

A rare example of a cast iron garden bench in the lyreback pattern, along with a matching pair of side chairs. This design goes back to Philadelphia in the 1840's, but is usually found only as single chairs. The only other bench I have come across had a very narrow seat (see item # 1009065), whereas this example has the same generous size seat as the chairs - which are very comfortable. The bench is 32" high by 48" long by 22" deep. Chairs are 32" high by 21" wide by 22" deep. This set has been sand-blasted and powder coated, and is in excellent condition.
