This brass cuff is incised with a design that is colored with dark blue and copper color. I don't know the origin of this bracelet, but it appears to be east Indian and is probably from the 1960's or '70's. The design is a step and repeat pattern that is very graphic. It measures 9-1/4" around and is 2" wide and 2-3/4" in diameter. This is a very strong and eye-catching piece with a tribal influence.
This unusual and elegant copper brooch and matching earrings have a stylized Celtic design. Each piece is comprised of swirled and abstract copper designs that are bordered by twisted and flattened thick copper wire circles. The back of the pin has black enamel as is common with copper jewelry. Copper jewelry was very popular especially in the 1950’s-1960’s, and this set is probably circa 1950’s. The brooch measures 2-1/4” diameter and the earrings are about 1” diameter. These are in excellent vintage condition and are a very handsome set to wear on darker shades.
Bracelets have always been in fashion and have a great history of symbolism, as well. Originally made of found objects such as wood, stone, bones and plant materials, bracelets have evolved in both materials and design. Many historic bracelets were created to serve religious and decorative purposes, as well as a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Today, they take on some of these same characteristics. One of the earliest styles of bracelets was the bangle. This extraordinary bangle bracelet is simple in its geometric provenance and stunning simplicity. The square measures 1” wide and each of the four sides is about 2” long. I believe it was 22K gold plated, but I cannot remember the designer. I have had it since about 1978-’79. It is in good vintage condition with scratches for wear and some discoloration on the inside. Without closely examining, it still looks amazing on and I always got compliments when I wore it. This would look perfect with an Erwin Pearl necklace I also have for sale.
This lovely elegant necklace is from the 1950's and is a hank of numerous white strands of seed beads with a gold colored clasp that is fashioned like a flower with leaves. The center is small seed white and pearl look beads. This is a great necklace and feels warm on your neck. It measures 16-1/2" including the clasp.
These earrings are covered with gold sparkle with black curving lines in between - almost like a path leading to the Yellow Brick Road. The dangles are about 1-1/4” square and hang from silver half-domes. They are black enamel on the back and are a fun addition to any wardrobe. These would be perfect with jeans or a black dress. They are probably from the ‘80’s, but in good vintage condition.
