| Dragonfly symbolism is particularly prevalent in Japan where there is great respect for and admiration of the insect. The dragonfly is a symbol of summer and autumn, and is also symbolic of the warrior class, and the courage and strength associated with that class. It is also a symbol of happiness, a symbol shared by the Chinese, who also consider the dragonfly a symbol of good luck, harmony and prosperity. This lovely silver bracelet is crowned by a gold dragonfly textured to indicate some of its markings. The bracelet itself also has an all-over pattern of squares that appear like little bricks or metal fence. Although it is marked “925”, I believe it is silver plated. It measures 6” inside circumference with a 1-1/2” gap. It is 1-1/8” wide. This would be a good gift for someone who loves dragonflies. | ||
