Taxco Treasures Jewelry + Artifacts
These vintage Taxco Mexican M. Ocampo sterling silver earrings are very old, probably 1930’s-‘40’s because of the lack of the Eagle assay mark. The design is cut out and incised on raised half domes. They are marked, " M Ocampo Taxco Mex 925". This artist is documented in Billie Hougart’s, “The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks”. They are approximately 5/8" wide and 3/4" long and are screw backs. They weigh 6.5 grams. These were fabricated by hand by cutting and forming the domed shape from silver sheet, then incising, and soldering the screw backs. These are in excellent condition and do not appear to have any damage. They are an exquisite design.
