| Being offered is this beautiful, heavy ¼” thick, lead crystal nappy. It is 6” in diameter, 8” to outside of handle and is 1 ¼” deep. The notched handle is somewhat unusual in its diameter and the fact that it is notched on a nappy. It does glow a lime green under ultraviolet light which attests to its age and quality. The blank was clear and hand-blown then cut with deep crossing miters before being finished with hobstars, a star and flashed pinwheels. There are some wear marks on the bottom outside and a small chip in the star miter on the bottom outside also. The dish presents very well and shines brilliantly in direct lighting. Finally it weighs 1 lb. 6 oz. as a testimonial to the amount of lead and uranium oxides in the glass. | ||
