| Here we have c1860 pontil bottle from POWERS AND WEIGHTMAN of PHILADELPHIA that once contained HYDROCYANIC ACID, better known as CYANIDE. It comes to us from a long-closed pharmacy museum. We left the inventory control stickers on it. This is an early, rough-pontil bottle! The glass stopper is stuck in position, so we did not try to force it open. This is a wonderful, early example, and measures 4" tall to the end of the stopper. A clean bottle, with no residue remaining! | |||||||
