| Here we have a WORLD WAR I 1916 PARKE, DAVIS & COMPANY physician's field case that still retains two corked, glass vials of APOTHESINE AND ADRENALIN #217. The box is 4" tall. Apothesine was an early injectable anesthetic. Adrenalin was (and still is) mixed with the anesthetic to control bleeding. These hypodermic tablets were mixed with sterile (hopefully!) water and injected into an area of the body that was to be "numbed up" for a procedure. Contents are sold only for collector purposes and must not be used in any way. Please be sure to see our other catalog listings. New items are added weekly. Thank you for visiting with us! | |||||||
