In original arts and crafts metal leaf frame, 18" x 21" canvas, overall is 21.5" x 24" Pluma M. Kimball was born in Austin, Minnesota, December 18, 1858, the daughter of Wilbur and Frances Kimball. In 1882 she married John Kipp Brown, a widowed banker who was also 31 years her elder. He was to die in 1908. According to the 1880 and 1890 Census they lived in Des Moines, Minnesota. Her occupation was listed as a music teacher. By 1900 the couple had moved to Jackson, Minnesota. In 1918 Pluma M...
