9" diameter. Arms of Louis XVI of France encircled by the Order of St. Esprit, within a border of stylized cartouches. Underside includes double ring and foot marks consistent with 18th century porcelain. In the 19th century Samson of Paris produced copies of armorial wear and this Japanese example may have been directly copied from one of them.
