Alonzo St. George Huntington, American 1868-1941
22 1/4" x 29" oil on canvas, signed lower right and bearing exhibition label, verso. Note this was part of a group of works illustrated in the exhibition catalog of the year 1909. Titled "In Normandy" Bio from ask Born Ft. Leavenworth, June 2, 1868; died Chicago, Aug. 3, 1941. Studied at Art Institute of Chicago; in New York under Inman, in Paris at the Academié Julian under William Bouguereau and Tony Robert Fleury from 1886-90, and in Rome in the British Academy under Senor José Gallegos.
