Figural mustard jar made by Geo Martel - George Martel.
It was probably made at his pottery at Longfosse and not at the Desvres Pottery at Boulogne (North of France)where he also worked. His work is usually more french region traditional than this figure which is a real rarity. And it was made within the period 1920-1940.
The jar is showing a pipe smoking miller jumping out of a barrel.
Very good condition.
