Very cute pin made by Van Cleef and Arpels in the beginning of the 50's the french name of it is "CANARD BEC EN L'AIR", figuring a duck who's belly is made of a 8.23 carats columbian emerald with a fabulous green color, the eye is a small diamond, the gold weight is 4.30grs. The size of the pin is 2.2cm - a little bit less than 1". The pin is in a good condition except : a crack on top of the emerald which is about 2mm and a little bit rusty that can be seen on the last picture, and some scratches. Marks : VAN CLEEF AND ARPELS hand incised on the back of the pin, a number : 64134 and at least 2 gold hallmarks with eagle head. |
