This abstract image is titled "The Grand Parade" and was created by Mark Tobey in 1974. It is beautifully printed, on thick watermarked Arches paper, and with a nice thick application of the pigments, creating the impression of a painting. This lithograph is in excellent condition with full, uncut margins and no damage. I haver replaced the glass that was on the piece with plexiglass for safe shipping and the work is ready to display. The frame is in good condition as well and shows the work nicely.

Mark Tobey is an important American - Northwest modernist artist and his work is represented in virtually every important art museum in the world, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenhiem Museum, and the Whitney Musem, all in New York City, as well as the Louvre in Paris and the Tate Gallery in London. Some of Tobey's most important and highest priced paintings have been abstractions very similar in imagery to this piece.
