Fine and large original painting by Hawaiian artist, Cora Yee.

This painting is titled, "Like A Leopard In Ecstasy" and was executed with acrylic on canvas-board. the painting is signed with initials "C.Y. lower right, in the design, and an inscription by the artist on the back states the date "1996", the title, and the medium "acrylic, gold leaf, ink" (please see photos). The painting is framed in a quality contemporary gold-leaf frame.

Cora Yee was was born in Honolulu and studied at the Punahou School and the University of Hawai’i-Manoa. She has led a culture-enriched life as a result of being exposed to diversity in Hawaii and traveling through Europe, where she spent eight years restoring and decorating harpsichords in France before returning to Hawaii to pursue a career in printmaking. She has exhibited in Europe, Japan and North America since the 1970s and her work can be found in important private and public collections including the Honolulu Academy of Arts, the Hawaiian State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the City and County of Honolulu and the Gerobe Foundation. Best known for her prints (search her name on the internet), Cora Yee's original paintings are rarely available for sale.

This painting is in excellent original condition with no damages or restorations. The frame is also in good condition with slight wear as seen in the photos.
