Originally the beauty of such old Korean ware as everyday ware of folk use was found out in Japan, to be often applied to use for the Japanized sense and its conceptual art form such as tea ceremony etc as Art of 'Mitate' for instance. Besides that, it's also quite a lovely unaffected bowl made by unknown skillful potter as seen. Massive and aesthetic simple shape but a little larger for the use of chawan. Pale gray coloring with scenic underglaze crackle as a little "loose" condition by the result of its kiln-firing. Joseon Dynasty, 19th century.

Size: approx. Height 10cm (3.93in), Diameter 16.5cm (6.49in)

Primary material: Ceramic
