Quality collection from a prestigious draper's in Yamagata prefecture during the Meiji period as its provenance. approx. 8.4 x 3.2 cm (3.30 x 1.25in)
Tortoiseshell itself is valued very highly as its material, and the same valued comb in the same era is possessed in the Honolulu Museum of Art in fact.
Fine antique condition. with expected use-sign and a flaw (2mm) at picture pattern as seen. (blackish parts at top surface is the design of floating clouds as it's not exfoliation.)
Attached with wooden box.
