Unique folksy four wood carving (birch) 'Dososhin' (='Dosojin', 'Dorokujin' / Traveler's Guardian Deity) seen only in Shinano region in Japan (in general, stone carving male and female statue) as the offerings for New Year's ceremonial customs,
as the traditional indigenous Japanese folk art pieces of the relic of worship. Showa period, 20th century. The last photo is the exhibited scene of the similar wood carving type at National History and Folklore Museum.
