BORO, SASHIKO FUROSHIKI
Unusually large size indigo-dyed 'furoshiki' cotton textile for wrapping stuff. Early 20th century.
Stitched white textile at center on the flip side, and quite impressive 'sashiko' (running stitch) at the every side both for its reinforcement. Fine well-used taste of indigo dye as well.
Some discoloration, small holes, and slight loose threads at sashiko part as seen, but in fine and aesthetic used condition for considering the purpose of its actual use. Indeed, washed.
approx. 195 x 190 cm (76.77 x 74.80in)
