Because of the opposite position of characteristically sensitive and solid Chinese ceramic ware of the same age (Northern Song - Liao dynasty), such cizhou type ware of warm taste (called 'Kyoroku-de wan' (lit. 'Julu type bowl')) have been loved and highly valued in Japan for long time for the Japanized simplicity and beauty based on the art of tea.
In fine antique condition, with expected sign of use as glaze-exfoliation and a slight chip as seen. Attached with substitutional wooden box.
