Russian Imperial birch wood stamp box Faberge style
Russian Imperial Karelian birchwood stamp box. Of typical form and bearing finely chased gilded copper double-headed eagle. Date: before 1918. Appears to be unmarked. 79mm long.

These boxes were manufactured by various makers and were given by the Court as presents. Birchwood cigarette cases by Faberge are well-known and a selection is published in Traina 'The Faberge Case' pp. 128-132. There is even an Imperial Egg made of Karelian birch.

All items sold are guaranteed genuine and as described and a full refund will be given should any description ever prove to be incorrect.
