This jewelry casket is a very charming souvenir of Reims,France as you can see. It is very heavy (11 oz.)and I'm pretty sure it is pewter. There is intricate detail in the weave and roping of the basket. As well as the floral bouquet on the lid! The inside has the original blue lining, now somewhat faded with age. Two little wire rings hang as handles on each side, one has a twisted detail and the other must be a replacement. It measures 4" X 3" and 3" tall. Circa 1900. Thank you for visiting!

I recently found this wonderful toleware hand painted ship on a mustard background at a market in Brussels. Notice the red Cross on the billowing sail!It is in vintage used condition as seen in photos. sorry the photos are not the best, natural light isn't so bright right now. Most unique for a toleware collector or a sailor! It measures 4 3/4" X 3" X 1 3/8" deep. Does not include the matchbox.Thank you for visiting!

There is such elaborate design on this tea strainer. After hours of researching, I haven't determined exactly the base metal, pewter, or spelter which is also considered zinc. It is heavy, weighing almost 6 oz. The back is more the color of pewter. I haven't tried to polish it. However there is shine to raised areas. The worn silver plated bowl has a delightfully pierced star. It measures 5 1/2" including the handle. I am afraid the photos don't do justice...

This superb toast rack has incredible lustrous embellishment! Quite fashionable in the mid 1800's as well as today to serve toast, properly cut on the diagonal. Marked with impressed HA, EA, FA, for the Atkins Bros., EPNS and their impressed mark with hand holding 3 lilys, also hand inscribed 497/oa(meaning 1st quality). It dates to mid 1800's. There are several small discolorations in the bottom that don't detract from it's beauty. I tried to show that in photo 3. It is raised on 4 lovely feet...

I've always collected European hotel silver, but was thrilled to find this set of 4 knives (serrated) and forks by Simeon & George H. Rogers which was absorbed by Wm. A. Rogers in 1918, then Oneida in 1929. Heavy weight, and beautiful patina as expected from hotel silver!. Set of 4 knives and 4 forks. Perfect for mixing in with your collection! So extraordinary, and rare to find in such wonderful condition! Sure to outlast you! Thank you for visiting!

Exceptional silvered cast metal (pewter?) frames most extravagantly designed with a royal crown corona draped with swagged tassels, cartouch, intricate floral filled urn, and acanthus leaves gracing all 4 sides. Whew, talking about rich detail! Every time I study them I see more! Of course they stand on little swirled feet. Each easel backing does not appear original to the frames...but work just fine. I found this matched pair in a little shop near Paris...

The large scrolling iron hat and coat hooks are the stars of this piece. The wood base seems to be blonde painted over withc chippy old siver paint. The camera glare does detract from the appearance. Quite a find for any room of your home! Leave it as is or even remove the paint or even the hooks to be added somewhere else!It hangs on the wall by the original flat metal hangers.Measures 21" X 2 3/4"
