This amazing fine linen tea cloth or centerpiece has the most beautifully executed Italian reticella drawnwork and perfectly stitched embroidered floral designs all by hand. The embroidery stands out and is heavily stitched with precision. The needle lace drawn work is some of the finest I have seen, with intricate designs throughout. It has 3 " of hand made bobbin lace surrounding it. It measures approx. 44" in diameter...

The embroidery and buttonholed scallops with rare little knots around were most certainly hand made by a quite accomplished artist! The satin stitching is so perfect and stands so tall. This piece was almost certainly done by a young woman for her trousseau, as the basket was often a symbol of prosperity in the marriage. Perfect for a young bride today, perhaps as a centerpiece for the vase of flowers (hopefully not carnations) her new husband just presented...

What a wonderful and rare piece in such good condition.! These are seldom found since they are meant to be passed down through families for babies christening. This fine white Swiss embroidered eyelet cotton cover would have been used with a cotton or wool pad inserted into the back side to provide warmth and support for the little one bundled inside . The front cover has rows of fine "nun's pleats" or pin tucks interspersed with rows of the embroidered eyelet trim...

This wonderful, well used, obviously enjoyed show towel starts the day with "Gutte Morgen" (Good Morning) in German 55" X 20" It is of a finely woven linen which seems to be hand loomed, embellished with much turkey red work, though there are missing stitches, that don't seem to affect the integrity. Wonderful small pillow sham, is completely made with hand stitching, needle lace, embroidery and what appears to be highly collectible Bedfordshire lace. The lace has the significant design with tiny picots in the bridges of the continuous bobbin lace, however I'm still researching it...as always. This 19th c. petite pillow is completely made by hand...every stitch! It encompasses some of the finest hand work in one piece...

I found this most unusual towel in Italy, in perfect never used condition. I was the first to launder it! The design might be considered Art Deco, considering the zig zags, diamond and triangular shapes of the embroidery, drawn work, and needle lace...

I found this luxurious, finest, and silkiest "fil de lin" French sham in France. It has such detailed needle worked drawn work all around. But my favorite part, besides the exquisite linen is the magnificent BN moniker, with room for the bridegrooms initial to intertwine. Certainly made by a young girl for her trousseau, in anticipation of her bride groom's initial to create their monogram. It has hand drawn work and hemstitching with precise little snow flakes in each corner...

This huge and fab huck show towel might have been hand made by a young girl for her trousseau. The unusual moniker of DB has room in the center for the initial of her future husband's initial. Each end has 8 " of hand knotted fringe, as well as 4" of tambour work on each end in a most delightful pattern. This incredible towel, was hand created most likely in the early 1800's when most tambour work was worked white on white...

I just adore the handwork on this lovely handkerchief case! The 3rd photo shows a enlarged closeup, trying to show the beautiful stitching, however the photo just doesn't do it justice! The stitches are so teeny I had to check them out with a jewelers loop! A beautiful, colorful bouquet surrounded by a ring of the same! The silk has a pattern of tiny dots. It seems to be lightly padded, and closes with a shell button. In excellent condition as found in Belgium! 7" X 6.5" What a treasure for yourse...

This French cami is absolutely breathtaking! It is completely made by hand. The condition is wonderful for it's age. It fastens in the back with 3 tiny Mother of Pearl buttons, with little loops that might eventually need replacing as they are rather fragile. The satin straps are 1" wide. It measures approx. 35" across the lace at the top. I think it would fit small to medium size as it is gathered and can accommodate different bust sizes. It's clean and sold in found condition. Feel fr...

Fine, almost handkerchief weight linen, with cutwork and incredibly exact hand embroidered designs on this antique piece, most likely created by a young girl for her trousseau. It was meant to keep and protect her handkerchiefs, gloves, or perhaps lace collars or veils. Of course, it could be made into a charming boudoir pillow! The exquisitely crafted basket signifying abundance for the marriage. (Always welcome!) The 3" oval of stylized flowers might have been intended for monograms. The ribbon...
