Wonderful green leaf majolica handled dish by Schramberg dating to 1910 to 1920. It has great details with edging and veins and ruffled detail as well as the twig handle. It measures about 9" X 8 1/2" X 1 1/2" tall. It has tiniest chips to a few of the pointed spikes of the many, one of which appears to have been repaired, and age crazing. See 4th photo. These are not noticeable to the naked eye and certainly don't detract from it's beauty...

This wonderful, well used, obviously enjoyed show towel starts the day with "Gutte Morgen" (Good Morning) in German 55" X 20" It is of a finely woven linen which seems to be hand loomed, embellished with much turkey red work, though there are missing stitches, that don't seem to affect the integrity. This incredible hand painted box, possibly from 19th c. or earlier, is hand crafted. The colors in places are vibrant and in worn areas muted, there seems to have been initials on the top which is very worn and has loss of painted design. The top is hinged with pegs, and it is joined by handmade nails, shaped like narrow triangles, you can see the tops in several photos, and in 4th photo. The crossed inserts, creating compartments are not original ,but not offensive...

Wonderful small pillow sham, is completely made with hand stitching, needle lace, embroidery and what appears to be highly collectible Bedfordshire lace. This rare piece seems from La Belle Époque,(French for "Beautiful Era"), a period in French and Belgian history that is conventionally dated as starting in 1871 and ended with WWI. Two devastating world wars and their aftermath made the Belle Époque appear to be a time of joie de vivre (joy of living) in contrast...

This large footed tureen with original lid was made and marked by the St. Armand Hamage Nord factory. Saint-Amand-les-Eaux lies in northern France near Valenciennes. It was was known for it's faience. The tureen handles and lid handles are very ornate, overall it is a beautiful shape. The 1st and 3rd photos are best for actual color. It does have an old chip in the top rim, which I have not cleaned or sealed...

There is such elaborate design on this tea strainer. After hours of researching, I haven't determined exactly the base metal, pewter, or spelter which is also considered zinc. It is heavy, weighing almost 6 oz. The back is more the color of pewter. I haven't tried to polish it. However there is shine to raised areas. The worn silver plated bowl has a delightfully pierced star. It measures 5 1/2" including the handle. I am afraid the photos don't do justice. I found this on a recent trip to Londo...

I found this most unusual towel in Italy, in perfect never used condition. I was the first to launder it! The design might be considered Art Deco, considering the zig zags, diamond and triangular shapes of the embroidery, drawn work, and needle lace. The beautiful BM monogram is in a deco design with embellishments forming a diamond shape. The nicely padded embroidery is done by the older hand guided machine and is of good quality. The linen is a light to medium weight in a creamy color, and t...

This petite Reinhold Schlegelmilch bowl has such elegant plumed shape, further highlighted with intense cobalt and gilt painting. What an incredible shape, indicative of the fine workmanship associated with these pieces, which are much sought after. The floral bouquet has so many wonderful shades in flow blue.
