| A beautifully hewn Maya jadeite figure from Guatamala dating ca500-800A.D. The figure measures 1 7/8" in width by 7/8" in depth by 2 7/8" in height and comes with full paperwork from a respected authority attesting to its authenticity. To quote: "authentic and of the period, in the form of a human figure with hands on its chest and legs crossed. Olmec style, eyes and nose and mouth drilled Olmec style, the piece has re-cuts with some original tooling marks evident and has been repolished. This piece has been examined under microscopic conditions at 45x power and suspended in an acetone bath to remove any artificially applied patina. The remaining patina was found to be original to the piece and has not been artificially applied without any restorations." The official appraisal on the piece is $2,700.00 which will be delivered to the purchaser along with the official COA. | ||
