| Culture: Huari/Peru/Central Coast to Central Highlands ca600-800A.D. A low globular shouldered single strap polychrome vessel measuring 6 1/2" in height by 5 1/2" in diameter depicting a noble with a turban headpiece and a necklace of square elements with dots in the centers. A wide band of decoration circles the upper part of the vessel and incorporates triangles with dots, stepped elements, and nicely executed fineline work. The lower section of the vessel has a couple of fire clouds which do not extend up into the painted area. | ||
