| A globular single spout effigy jar from Peru dating ca600-800.D. and measuring 7 1/2" in height by 5 1/2" in length depicting a raised monkey head with wide almond eyes wearing large ear spools. The base slip is a soft brown with the design elements in tan, chocolate brown, and black. Numerous serpent shaped motifs and and circles, both enclosing black dots swirl around the upper section of the jar. There are a couple of minor chips to the top of the spout but the piece is in otherwise as found condition. | ||
