A classic Chavin redware incised stirrup spout vessel from the north highlands of Peru dating ca900-200B.C. The jar stands 9" in height by 5 1/2" in diameter. The vessel is incised with a large stylized feline below the stirrup. The rear of the jar is unadorned.
