$145.OO (THE GROUP)
An excellent grouping of small redware jars from ancient Mexico dating C.A. 100 - 860 A.D.
The largest stands 3" in height by 3 3/4" in diameter. The base is rounded and it gently flares out to the upper rim. It has two raised circular elements on the exterior for added decoration. The second piece measures 3 1/2" in diameter by 1 3/4" in height and has a rounded squash shape. The third is a small high sided tray measuring 3 1/4" in diameter by 1/2" in height. Other than a few very small chips to the rim they are in as found condition with no restoration or overpaint. The second two would most likely have been used for paint or cosmetics. All very nice examples for the price.
