ORIGIN: Northern New Mexico
AGE: 1000 - 1250 A. D.
An excellent representation of Prehistoric corrugated utility ware olla used for cooking as compared to the ornate ornamentation which is often found in the black on white wares. The jar measures 8" in height by 7" at the widest diameter. It has been broken and reglued and has a few small shards missing which you can see in the photo. There are also a few minor chips to the rim. A nice example of the type. This jar comes from private property and is legal for private ownership under all current State and Federal Laws.
