A set of Sliding Alcove doors decorated with a silk painting of two traveling Samurai launching an arrow from horseback into a cedar forest. They are performed with pigment on silk set onto a gold bordering wooden frames. Each door is 47 x 78 cm, and are made to fit an opening 92 x 77.5 cm (3 feet by 30-1/2 inches). Each retains its original white backing paper. They appear to be signed Tamba Sugawara Sei. There are losses to the gold at the bottom, and one small puncture below the white horses tail. These would work great built into a cabinet or stand for Japanese art.
