FINE Japanese ANTIQUE FUKAGAWA PORCELAIN VASE

A lovely Fukagawa cylindrical vase decorated with a bird in dark outline perched on a branch loaded with ripe persimmon; the piece enclosed in a quality Kiri-wood display box. It is unusual in that the bird has been clearly outlined and left uncolored, contrasting sharply with the delicate use of soft colors on the branch. It is 11-1/4 inches (28 cm) tall, and dates from the opening years of the 20th century. The Fukagawa mark is clearly visible on bottom.
