INTENSE 16 inch KUTANI CHARGER, KINZAN, W/BOX
Extremely fine handmade and hand painted Kutani charger featuring an extraordinarily complex geometric by Kinzan III, Yoshida Minnoru, one of the pillars of Kutani-wares. It is 15-3/4 inches in diameter and stands 2-3/4 inches to the rim. Three dials, each containing a leafy tree, circle a large center dial with the same motif, laid out on a blue and gold geometric field fanning out in all directions from the center, three rays of yellow cutting through the pattern, separating the three medallions. The dish comes in the original wooden box signed by the artist and likely dates from between 25 and 35 years ago.
