| A small ceramic okimono of a ko-suzume (sparrow chick) by the artist Matsuta Naoyuki (1899-1995) in the original box from the Sugimoto Tokujiro collection. The bird is crafted in a style as if a block were laid on the table, and large sections chiseled away leaving this tiny okimono behind. Naoyuki was not a ceramic artist, but was, indeed, a world-renowned sculptor, with this piece very much in his style. It measures just less than 3-1/2 inches (8cm) long, 2-1/4 inches (5.5cm) tall. | ||||||||||||
