| Crackled blue-green dotted with oil-spots in brown and blue cover this very unusual early 20th century studio vase in the shape of a crane, the elegant birds head fully 3 dimensional looking back over its shoulder. I have never seen a piece like this before. It is likely, judging by earth and glaze, from the area of central Kyushu, Agano or Onta. It is 9-1/2 inches (24 cm) tall, and in excellent condition. | |||||||||||||
