This piece comes from the personal collection of designer jewelry, Joseph Holland. Mr Holland has spent a lifetime in the interior design and antiques business. He has traveled to the far corners of the world where he collected antique jewelry and components which were often incorporated into more grand pieces. His designs were wildly popular in the 60’s to the 80’s when he actively showed at major antiques shows including the Park Avenue Armory, Madison Square Garden, and Miami Beach. This unique intaglio ring is perfect for the man or the woman. The center has a 1" long x 3/4" wide intaglio of a man's profile within a shield carved in a bright yellow agate hard stone. The heavy shank is hand crafted from 18k gold and the surrounds have intricate scroll work designs. It is in excellent condition and is presently a size 7. It has no markings and has been assayed for 18k gold. It weighs 18 grams. |
