Assembled with vintage materials gathered from the flea markets and private sources of South America, this distinctive necklace was created under the supervision of master jeweler, Joseph Holland. Mr. Holland has been making jewelry for over 40 years, and many pieces are owned by museums, collectors, and celebrities alike. Although Mr. Holland has retired to Peru, he still has the need to create, which is why we have introduced his "Lima Collection". These pieces are exclusively for sale at Lush Life Antiques with other pieces available for viewing at www.pinterest.com/josephholland. This unique sports themed medallion necklace measures 25" long and has a diamond cut polished silver tone chain that ends in a toggle style closure. In front it has 11 vintage silver plated sports medals ranging in size from 3/4" to 2" in diameter. The medals have very detailed depictions of various sports including hurdling, crew, soccer, bocce ball, and tennis. The reverse sides have inscriptions, some with dates of 1937, 1972, and 1991. The necklace has a great patina and is a one of a kind piece from Mr Holland's studios in Peru. |
