| A superb modernist painting recently recovered from the Pacific Palisades, CA estate of ALLEGRA FULLER SNYDER, daughter of famous American engineer, BUCKMINSTER FULLER. The work embodies the best elements of modernist aesthetics (cubism, surrealism, etc). Estimated age: early-mid 1950s, although a general estimate would be 1945-1965. It is inscribed to Bob (famous director Robert Snyder) and his wife Allegra (Allegra Fuller Snyder), and is also signed at lower right, (apparently: John Christian, or John Chretien, etc.). Measures 24 x 18 inches (sheet size). Medium: ink + gouache + pencil on thick paper. Condition: Age associated handling wear and water staining (main image still remains in remarkably wonderful condition - would look magnificent framed). Please see photos.
