Ancient Hellenistic/Classical-Period Greek Pyxis Vessel with Fitted Lid- Circa 2nd-5th Century BCE, Modern-Day Mainland Greece:
A Circular Lidded Terra-cotta Vessel in quite good condition with only one visible condition issue (See Below). It sits on a slightly flared foot and comes with the Original Fitted Lid which has Concentric Circles Engraved on it's top. The ceramic pyxis is finished in a Créme Buff of even and good color. An all around lovely piece of Ancient Greek Earthenware!

Condition: Overall Condition is Very Good, One Old Fracture (Repaired) about 2 inches long is visible on the side wall of the vessel, only visible when viewed from a specific angle, which was repaired/stabilized in the past protecting the piece from further damage and ensuring that the fracture will not continue to grow or have any effect on the structural integrity of the vessel. A Wonderful Example of A Traditional Classical Greek Pyxis!
