A Matching Pair of Antique, 19th Century, Chinese Scholar's Objects :
A Hardwood pen or pencil Box with a sliding lid cover that is decorated with a separately carved 'branch with flowers' design that was then inlaid onto the top; the other component of the set, a Porcelain Inkstone of circular form, decorated with an underglazed painted copper design.
The Decorated Side of the Inkstone Is In Visibly Perfect Condition; Wear From Use/Ink Staining Is Present On The Unglazed Porcelain 'Foot' (or Bottom) Side of the Inkstone Only and is Shown in the Photo Showing Both Objects Side by Side. The porcelain inkstone sits on a small custom-made circular hardwood stand to compliment the matching Hardwood Pen Box.
