An Authentic Hand-Woven 19th Century Tibetan Rug (c.1860-1895) in Pristine Condition considering the age of 125+ Years, with a traditional Tibetan design of three rigidly bordered circles in the center with a wide patterned border surrounding the center shapes; in this case a patterned border with blue background, outlined with a thin red border in place of fringe, and a center field of yellow on which the circular patterns are woven. As mentioned, there is no Fringe on this carpet, but rather a closed, thin Red border on all sides, which has kept the rug free of the fraying commonly found at the tassled ends of many old and antique rugs. The original vegetable dye coloring is still in superb condition throughout and as such there is no issue viewing each and every expertly woven detail in this expertly hand-woven fine Tibetan carpet. Free of any noticeable damage or repairs.
