Simply beautiful, these earrings are Georgian,circa 1820. The stones are faceted citrines set in crimped gold collets of 15k. The citrines, set a jour(open to the light) are ablaze with color as the light passes through the stone with every movement. They are set in the classical three sections, with each articulating.

This antique Japanese shakudo chain is circa 1880. The Samurai warriors wore beautiful swords and fittings designed with the metal art of Shakudo. The name defines the art of utilizing mixed metals to create an art form. The use of copper with gold, silver and metal alloys was perfected by the metal workers who decorated the Samurai swords. This elegant antique Victorian banded agate necklace is circa 1880. It is designed with well matched and perfectly graduated banded agate beads. The beads are the desirable black, brown and white combination and are interspersed with 14k rondells. The necklace terminates with the original large beaded clasp. This lorgnette, is silver designed with the process of Niello. This process was used for centuries, but had renewed interest in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. According to the book Victorian Jewelry by Dawes and Davidov, "niello is a process in which a fusion of silver,copper,lead and sulphur is melted and poured on silver."
