This Art Deco sterling crystal chain is wonderful. It is very long and each crystal has sterling repousse bezels. It is difficult to find these in their full length, as so many have been made into shorter necklaces. Rare too, is finding the rock crystals set in beautifully detailed bezels.
It measures a very long 44 inches and can be doubled by opening the spring ring or worn long for a dramatic effect. The crystal ...click for details
The bracelets, both silver and gold of the 1880's popularized the buckle motif. This sterling bracelet has the classical buckle motif rendered in rose gold vermeil (gold wash over silver). The influence of Japan, and the mixed metals of the Aesthetic Movement are evident in this design. The bracelet is so easy to wear, as the repousse links gracefully wrap around the wrist. Worn to fit snuggly, or to drape, it is the perfect everyday bracelet. ...click for details

This wonderful, very long niello chain was purchased in Paris. I was fortunate to acquire it from a retiring dealer's personal collection. It is so rare to find one that is very long, especially in such pristine condition.
Niello is the fusion of silver, copper, lead and sulfur which when blackened is poured into incised metals.
In this example, the lozenge shaped links have a vine motif set in 800 silver. They ...click for details
Incredibly lovely, these earrings are from the Regency Period of design, circa 1820. The Regency Period is applied to the years of 1795-1820. Think of Jane Austen's, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice, and you will be transported into this world. Ladies wore upswept hair with curls giving the earrings and necklaces prominence. The dresses were high-waisted with low cut bodices, and the fabrics delicate and elegant. The vertical was emphasized and long glittering earrings compleme ...click for details
This striking necklace, known as Pools of Light, is circa 1900. Each orb is a rock crystal, quartz, that has been enclosed within a silver cage. They were popular in China and Japan and held the belief that all the goodness and healing qualities of the crystal are protected if left undrilled. In this example the orbs are set in a "cage" of three silver wires and the chi of good luck residing in each bead is thus protected. Each of the 37 orbs is connected to the next with a small O ...click for details
Victorian jewelry abounds with sentimental items. Lockets were favored to house a special memory, a beloved, a lock of hair. It is the perfect means to freeze a moment in time, and hold it close to your heart.

This niello chain is wonderful example of superior craftsmanship. Niello is a process of using alloys of copper, silver sulphur, silver and lead, fusing them and then inlaying on incised metals. The result is the creation of patterns and in this example, subtle striping in the links. This circa 1890 chain, originally used as a watch chain, is intricately designed. Pink gold overlay on alternating beveled links and within the larger ovals, create visual contrast to the subtle patterns. More unusua ...click for details
