$3850

Each time I come across something unique it thrills me. This pair of earrings are English, circa 1850, and are exquisitely rendered in gold and turquoise. The condition defies the age, as these are near pristine. They are designed as clusters of flower heads centered with cabachon turquoise stones. The original patina of the 18k gold is extraordinary and rich. It is also remarkably light, and almost floats on the ear and yet it makes a bold statement. It measures almost 2 3/8 inches long with th ...click for details

This hand wrought antique ring is English Arts and Crafts. It is designed in gold and silver utilizing faceted peridot, tourmalines and pearls.

The ring is attributed to Dorrie Nossiter who worked during the 1930's. She was a good friend of Sybil Dunlop and there were many similarities in their work. Many of Nossiter's pieces used faceted and claw set stones rather than cabachon as used by Dunlop. HOWEVER, it ...click for details

The earrings measure 3/4 inches long x slightly less than 1/2 inches wide. The large stones are a cushion shaped rose cut. The ...click for details

This very special ring is Georgian, dated 1773. While the art of mourning is a field unto itself, and many examples are similar, coming across one that is an especially beautiful example is always exciting.

The tradition of mourning in the 18th century often included the giving of rings upon the death of a loved one to close family and friends. In this example, the band is inscribed Dan Gass Ob 28 July 1773 AE 57. T ...click for details
