Each time I come across something unique it thrills me. This pair of earrings are English, circa 1850, and are exquisitely rendered in gold and turquoise. The condition defies the age, as these are near pristine. They are designed as clusters of flower heads centered with cabachon turquoise stones. The original patina of the 18k gold is extraordinary and rich. It is also remarkably light, and almost floats on the ear and yet it makes a bold statement. It measures almost 2 3/8 inches long with th ...click for details

I rarely get this form of earring in inventory, but just in from Paris, are these spectacular paste earrings. This very desirable form is a solitaire with a tiny paste accent stone on the top. Each paste is set in silver, hand crimped collets just as the diamonds were set in this period. They are 19th century back to front gold fittings that are a very pale rose gold.
The earrings measure 3/4 inches long x slightly less than 1/2 inches wide. The large stones are a cushion shaped rose cut. The ...click for details

Uniquely dramatic, this rock crystal pendant is exciting. It is designed with an oval rock crystal, faceted around the edges and dished in the center. A beetle that is set with small rose diamonds, a large faceted citrine ,tourmaline and garnets is attached to the center of the crystal with rivets. The crystal appears to float on the skin, as the pendant has been designed with a gold bezel that is invisible from the front and connects to a simple gold bale. The bug is beautifully rendered and th ...click for details

These rare earrings are Georgian, circa 1820. They are designed with translucent chalcedony in the classical elongated torpedo shape. The chalcedony is a subtle pale milky blue surmounted with beautifully rendered gold findings. The findings are textured and decorated with very fine cannettile work. The top portion of the earrings detach from the bottoms as seen in the photos. This enables the wearer to have day/night wear. The tops too, are set with matching chalcedony and are embellished with ...click for details

This sterling silver Victorian bracelet is designed with the classical strap and buckle motif. This design was very popular in England in the 1880's and is bold and distinctive. The buckle and strap are decorated with tiny "cannonballs" and the strap itself as well as the backdrop is decorated with hand engraved maple leaves. The maple leaf has long been the symbol of strength, courage, protection and long life. It is a popular motif found on jewelry from this period. ...click for details

Antique Victorian Scottish earrings, circa 1880. They are sterling and set with a central faceted citrine that is prong set and surrounded by small flat cut stones that are bezel set. The central citrine is open to the light and is bright and rich in color. The others are set in closed backs and foiled to reflect the light. These have a beautiful mellow color. The top section too, has a closed bezel set stone with the same coloration as the central citrine. The colors of the small surrounding st ...click for details
