This Scottish sterling, agate bracelet is late Victorian, circa 1900. It has clean lines both in the track link design, as well as in the heart shaped padlock. The choice of agates were beautifully selected,beveled and placed in sterling settings. it opens and closes securely with a heart shaped padlock. In the 18th century, Portugal had access to rare stones such as topaz and chrysoberyl, via their dominion over Brazil.
